Account Manager

 
 

Job Purpose

  • The Account Manager (AM) works in concert with Sales as the liaison between the Customer (Show Management), Facilities, and Operations staff responsible for production, planning, and execution of trade shows or events as assigned by Management.
  • The Account Manager takes all appropriate and necessary actions to ensure clients regard the organization in high esteem and rely upon us as their dependable resource for all current and future trade shows and events.
  • To provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers during all phases of a project.


Job Responsibilities

  • Understand and embrace the AM role as the link between Show Management (SM) and our Organization.
  • Build Show Proposals as “tasked” by Sales
    • Revise as needed
  • Communicate with Sales on any/all SM requirements or activities:
    • Schedules/Floorplans/Graphics
    • SM builds: E-Ways, Pub Bins, Registration, etc.
  • Produce all work orders to reflect any/all SM requirements or activities
    • Sets Deadlines and completes any revisions necessary
    • Monitors progress and adjusts as necessary
  • Communicate with Sales on all Outside SM Vendor requirements, such as: Cleaning, Security, and Electrical
  • Set timelines, schedules, and purchase orders for all SM outside vendors
  • Send Draft Kit to SM for approval, followed by providing all ESM, Show Kit information to CSR Manager
  • Send exhibitor template to SM for detailed/accurate exhibitor lists used for NetSuite ordering and ID signs
  • AM’s task CSR Manager with approved exhibitor lists and kit pricing
  • Submit task for floorplan requests
    • Submit to SM for approval
    • Revise as necessary
    • Submit to FM or facility as required
  • Attend Job Launch and Show meetings when necessary
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external customers as necessary
  • Preparation of accurate and detailed invoices; ensure all items have been properly billed to the client per the contract and change orders from show site
  • Establish due dates with vendors in collaboration with production AM’s and shop
  • Demonstrate the ability to work on multiple projects, meet deadlines and hold strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Is physically present at Show-Site for move in/out; this includes traveling with shows as necessary
  • Be willing and able to calmly shift priorities under pressure as necessary
  • Respond to all emails or messages in an appropriate timeframe
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned by VP Operations

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 years minimum experience in Account Management preferred
  • Ability to work extensive hours during busy seasons while contributing to several projects and shows at once
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Pro
  • Experience with communicating via email in a professional setting
  • Strong integrity while handling sensitive client information
