The Show Site Operations Manager I&D (OM I&D) collaborates with Sales, Account Management, and the Warehouse on all operational aspects of Custom Exhibits and I&D assigned to by the VP of Operations. The Show Site Operations Manager I&D is knowledgeable and capable in Project Management and Basic Construction of Modular and Custom Systems and utilizes these skills to synthesize all phases of the project lifecycle to produce efficient, successful events.
To provide exceptional Customer Service, Communication, and Leadership to both internal and external customers during all phases of a project (Preshow Planning, Operational Execution, and Post Show Reporting)
Job Responsibilities:
Understand and embrace the OM I&D role as the link between Sales, Account Management, and Shop
OM I&D is the face of the company while on show site and is responsible for portraying a positive image to all clients
Provides show-site leadership, supervision, and assistance to all assigned projects (custom exhibits, I&D, house accounts, and contracted labor)
Attends and offers insights to all project specific pre-planning and scheduled meetings regarding labor, equipment, materials, and delivery expectations
Works with labor coordinator to secure and qualify quality labor and leads
Monitor and enact all safety regulations and requirements for labor, structure install and dismantling, and all heavy equipment use
Focuses on day-to-day operational efficiencies and procedures (Office, Shop or Show Site)
Ensure compliance and enforcement with all contract labor agreements. Understand work rules and apply them to job costing.
Provides necessary “work orders” to provide show equipment needs, materials, and dispensable items
Responsible for printing, review, and providing all copies of floor plans, electrical requirements, show/project design, line drawings, show service orders, and outside vendor orders and schedules to ensure accurate and complete installation.
Ensure that all Facility/Show/GSC rules and regulations are followed. Maintain copies of COI and EAC forms and ensure all workers are properly displaying Union or ESCA badges.
Conduct daily safety “talks”
Consistent daily status updates to internal management team
Provide client support on site to achieve project success (GSC desk, BOL’s, etc)
Ensure detailed and accurate documentation of materials, labor tickets or any other costs that would be needed to proper invoicing
Establish trucking coordination delivery and pick-ups, and ensure proper BOL is completed at show close
Assist in the warehouse shops when available
Assist in the verifying graphic and show look plans and application to expedite installation
Ensure mandatory payroll reporting is accurately completed and transmitted to Accounting daily
Operate in a continuous improvement mentality. Strive for increased productivity, enhanced customer service, and overall project success.
Job Requirements:
3+ years active experience in leading and running expo/trade show/live events-based show site projects and activities
Fabrication, custom build, project coordination, in-field supervisory role, and customer service experience
Understanding of contract labor requirements and regulations
Pre-show project scheduling and coordination of freight deliveries, labor, materials, and runners
Ability to read, manage, and plan labor according to project build prints and facility floorplans
Experienced and highly organized, flexible and ability to work necessary hours in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Advanced skills and application of Microsoft Office programs
