Emerging Trends in the Tradeshow Industry: What’s Next for Exhibitors?

Key trends shaping impactful tradeshows in 2025 and beyond: AI-driven real-time video, advanced AV integration, digital signage, LED backlighting, soft walls, and flat LED overhead signage.

The tradeshow industry is experiencing a dynamic transformation as technology and innovation continue to evolve. Exhibitors are embracing cutting-edge advancements to enhance engagement, improve visual impact, and create immersive experiences. Below are key trends we’ve seen take shape at the most recent industry tradeshows.

1. AI-Driven Real-Time Video Interaction. Artificial intelligence has progressed beyond static imagery to real-time video interaction on the show floor. Exhibitors are leveraging AI to create personalized, dynamic video experiences that respond to attendee movements — tailored content, live facial recognition applications, and interactive product demonstrations that adapt in real time.

2. Advanced AV Integration. AV has taken a leap forward with moving video walls, see-through LED boards, and curved video walls. These create immersive, flexible environments — dynamic storytelling, transparent displays that don’t obstruct sightlines, and corner/curved LED for three-dimensional visuals. As AI-driven programming evolves, once-prohibitive costs are steadily decreasing.

3. Digital Signage. Modern digital signage has evolved into dynamic, interactive tools that engage attendees in real time. Content can be updated instantly, and it’s a sustainable alternative to printed materials. As functionality has advanced and costs decreased, adoption among our clients has tripled over the past 3–5 years.

4. LED Backlighting. Using LED to backlight logos, architectural elements, and fabric graphics has become a major trend — making logos more striking and creating a sophisticated ambiance while improving visibility and brand recognition.

5. Lenticular & Soft Walls. Traditional hard walls are being replaced with lenticular-style and soft-wall structures that feel more open and inviting while still allowing strategic segmentation — letting light and movement play a role in the design.

6. Flat LED Overhead Signage. With flat LED panels becoming more affordable and easier to program, many exhibitors are switching from Sintra and fabric to vibrant, high-resolution branding that can be updated dynamically.
